Not a technology or field of study, globalization describes a process by which different regional economies, cultures, languages, information, and whole societies become integrated into a larger, consolidated network. In Brave New World, this technology acts differently, but is again very useful towards pursuing a diplomatic victory. This in turn starts the path towards diplomatic victory. Globalization allows the development of the United Nations, a World Congress where all civilizations and City-States get together to discuss their problems and solutions. In a world where all peoples of the Earth may know of everything going on with each one of them in real time, and do something about it almost immediately, diplomatic communication becomes paramount for maintaining the peace. Modern technology makes possible an event that is almost unheard of: Globalization. "The new electronic interdependence recreates the world in the image of a global village." Enables building the United Nations, a wonder necessary for achieving Diplomatic Victory.
